Abstract
Medical Physics as the application of physics concepts in medicine offers a very versatile, challenging and satisfying career which is hard to capture in job descriptions. The chapter aims to capture some of the variety by following the professional path of the author across several continents and roles in medical physics. While safety, quality and innovation are identified as key ingredients, all activities are ultimately aimed at improving the outcome for patients.
