Abstract
Gastrointestinal malignancies generally have a male preponderance. Outside of screen-detected cancers, presenting disease is often at an advanced stage. Clinicians must remain cognizant of red flag symptoms and signs to prevent delays in diagnosis. This chapter highlights the various types of malignancy encountered along the gastrointestinal tract. Information regarding epidemiology, risk factors, clinical presentation, modes of investigation and staging, survival, and medical and surgical management are broadly discussed for each organ.
