- This chapter applies the principles discussed in the previous chapter to the development of a quality assurance programme for a clinical radiation therapy 3D printing service. Common 3D printing errors and their potential effects on radiation treatment accuracy are discussed and fed into a sample risk assessment, which is used to explain how to design and implement appropriately documented quality assurance processes: commissioning, printer maintenance and print quality control.
