Abstract
This chapter provides guidance regarding the creation of a quality management system, to ensure that objects or devices that are 3D printed for radiation therapy (or other medical) purposes meet all applicable requirements, including regulatory standards, initial design specifications, and ultimately, that each device can be used safely and effectively for its intended purpose. Aspects of quality management described in this chapter include management of resources and risks, definition of organizational structure and responsibilities (process mapping), and the development and documentation of processes and procedures to ensure quality.
