Abstract
While the benefits of 3D printing are highlighted throughout the rest of this book, this chapter describes some of the likely costs of a radiation therapy 3D printing programme. In addition to monetary costs (and savings), this chapter addresses: the staff time needed to create, test, document and maintain a 3D printing service; the 3D printing health hazards that must be avoided, minimised or otherwise managed; the physical space required to safely and effectively run 3D printers in a clinical area; and the waste that must also be managed to minimise the environmental impact of the 3D printing programme.
