Abstract
Shared decision-making and advance care planning in the cancer care journey are central framing tools essential for providing an effective partnership between individuals with cancer and their physician-led teams. Shared decision-making honors individuals by integrating their goals and values in medical care planning by their clinical teams. It is professionally rewarding and a sacred approach to practicing cancer care.
